Hello everyone,
I’m setting up a SalesPlay POS system for my pizza bakery and restaurant, where we offer pizzas in three different sizes: Large, Medium, and Personal.
I’ve found two possible ways to handle pizza sizes in the system:
- Using Variants feature for each pizza (e.g., one pizza product with size variants: Large, Medium, Personal).
- Creating Subcategories for each pizza size (e.g., separate categories for Large Pizzas, Medium Pizzas, and Personal Pizzas).
Which of these approaches would be the easiest to manage for daily operations? I’d appreciate any insights on which method would streamline order processing and make things more efficient for staff.
Thanks in Advance
Hello,
I recommend using the Variants feature for this scenario, as it will make things much easier for your staff. When you click on a pizza in the POS app, a popup window will appear, allowing you to quickly select the size (Large, Medium, or Personal) without having to navigate through different categories.
On the other hand, using Subcategories would require extra steps—first selecting Pizza and then selecting the size, which could slow down the process. You can still use Subcategories for different pizza types like Pan Pizza, Thin Crust, or Hand Tossed to keep everything organized.
Hope this helps!
